WT_ERROR: non-specific WiredTiger error

Hi folks,
We have MongoDB 4 Shard Cluster, One particular shard getting crash after throwing the below error everyday couple of time.

MongoDB version: 4.0.28
Shard Type: Hash
Application : Write Intensive

I believe you also opened SERVER-70783 for this issue. I would reiterate the comment on that ticket: MongoDB 4.0 is out of support since April 2022 and any issue experienced by out of support version will not be fixed.

Thus it is entirely possible that this is a manifestation of an issue that was fixed in newer versions. The oldest supported series is 4.2, so I would start by upgrading from 4.0 to 4.2 (4.2.23 is the latest in the 4.2 series) as the first step. Please upgrade the cluster as a whole, not just the affected nodes :slight_smile: Please also take backups before executing the procedure.
