Vagrant does not boot

I have troubles with the vagrant boot. I get the following message;

Bringing machine 'mongod-m103' up with 'virtualbox' provider...
==> mongod-m103: Importing base box 'ubuntu/trusty64'...
==> mongod-m103: Matching MAC address for NAT networking...
A VirtualBox machine with the name 'mongod-m103' already exists.
Please use another name or delete the machine with the existing
name, and try again

I use vagrant destroy <machine_id> and vagrant up but the error persist

please help!

@Rodrigo_Alonso_30601 did you try these links?

And have you tried to destroy and rebuild the VM?

Yes, I’ve been through all that documentation. It does not address this issue. What do you mean by destroying and rebuild the VM?

Try these two steps:
vagrant destroy
vagrant up

Hi @Rodrigo_Alonso_30601,

If it does not resolve the issue then please share the following details :

  1. Version of Windows that you are using
  2. Version of VirtualBox
  3. Version of Vagrant

I’m using Windows 10, VirtualBox 6.0.14 and Vagrant 2.2.6

Hi @Rodrigo_Alonso_30601,

I’ve just noticed that you haven’t been replied to. Was this resolved? If not, here’s what to do:

  1. Find the folder to your VMs, open it and delete the mongod-m103 folder:
    a. Open VirtualBox > click File > Preferences > copy the Default Machine Folder path

    b. Open the path > delete the mogod-m103 folder
  2. Rebuild the machine:
    vagrant destroy -f
    vagrant up

Hi @007_jb,

If I remember this correctly, the original issue was something else and then @Rodrigo_Alonso_30601 edited the original post to the most recent error that he was getting.

For any other users who might be facing this issue, you can resolve it either by following the instructions mentioned by @007_jb in post #7 using the GUI interface of VirtualBox or you can use the command line based instructions to do the same.

Sounds plausible. I notice the history.
