Upcoming Realm's 'Flexible Sync'

Is the plan for Flexible Sync to resemble MongoDB’s Document & Field Level Permission (DFLP) or Legacy Realm’s Query-Based Sync (QBS)? For example will Flexible Sync use subscriptions like in QBS?

It would be nice to understand the theme and direction of Flexible Sync. Thank you in advance!

There are two parts to this:

  • What the app/user is asking to see in the results
  • What documents/objects the user has permission to see and/or update

@Ian_Ward covers both aspects in this recent article… https://www.mongodb.com/developer/article/realm-flexible-sync-preview/

I know that Ian and the engineering team are keen to hear how developers imagine themselves using flexible sync, and so please let us know!
