Unable to "vagrant up" on a mac, reboot: did not fix too

These logs are after reboot, first time logs were bigger as some parts of the install went through. Please review and help:

Couple of observations:

  1. I realized later that you say I need virtual box 5.1. However, 5.1 refuses to run on my version of OSX (10.14.4)
  2. Virtual box 6.x does run on my computer, but I guess it may not be compatible

So how can I progress and get vagrant up?

What is the output when you run below commands:

vagrant ssh

vagrant global-status

Please share.

I am using 10.14.4, I have Virtual Box 5.2.14, its working fine and have not checked compatibility with 6.x version yet.

Also, check this link for the import error:

Thanks kanikasingla, I was able to get vagrant running by
a) changing my environment to be just like yours : OS 10.14.4, Virtual Box 5.2.14
b) Updating my Virtual Box Preference : it was pointing to a user that was already removed from my computer: I suspect I installed Virtual box earlier either for mongo training or some other purpose and it had crude left over.

I still get sporadic errors when doing vagrant up but I think they are temporary network issues also discussed in other threads. When the shell comes up, I see the following (output of both commands you requested): I think it is ok so ok to close the question, but if you do see something funny, do let me know. Thanks !!

The above shows information about all known Vagrant environments
on this machine. This data is cached and may not be completely
up-to-date (use “vagrant global-status --prune” to prune invalid
entries). To interact with any of the machines, you can go to that
directory and run Vagrant, or you can use the ID directly with
Vagrant commands from any directory. For example:
“vagrant destroy 1a2b3c4d”

However, now I get no output from validate_box. It says:
vagrant@m103:~$ validate_box
validate_box: command not found

Hi Harry_38764,
