Unable to start Mongod service

Hi MongoDB Community,

Could you kindly check the following error that I encountered while starting mongod after editing mongod.conf file. I’m trying to start it as root.
I have uploaded snapshots from the system I’m facing issues with.

and

my mondod.conf file is currently set as follows.

Kindly extend your support.

Mohan Krishna.

It appears to be a permissions issue to me
Check ownership/permissions on your dbpath/logpath etc
You should not start mongod as root
Check your installation instructions

Hi Ramachandra,

I’m new to MongoDB. Could you kindly guide me how can I start the mongod service if not by root user.

It was transitioned to us I’m not sure about how to check installation instructions as well. Kindly guide me.

What is your os and how was mongod installed
Check this doc under heading Init system

Login as normal user and use sudo systemctl commands
