Thanks @Ramachandra_Tummala and @Doug_Duncan for the reply I’m a frontend developer so I don’t have too much experience with this sort of thing, so I might need your help a bit more.
When I do ls -lrt /tmp/mongodb-27017.sock
I get the following srwx------ 1 root wheel 0 Sep 15 11:37 /tmp/mongodb-27017.sock
so I guess the owner of this is root
I deleted the mongodb-27017.sock and restarted the service (I have stopped all services before this)
When I check the ownership again, now I get srwx------ 1 ds wheel 0 Sep 15 11:48 /tmp/mongodb-27017.sock (ds == my user)
But I’m still unable to start the mongo-community though.
