MongoDB cluster reaching 1.5k connections

Hello!

Our application is returning errors:

I think it is due to the max connections being reached:

We’ve removed all IPs from our network access and turned all of our applications off, and we still had about 500 connections ongoing… Where are they coming from? I checked the access longs but couldn’t find any successful access attempt from the moment we turned our application off…

Then, whenever I turn on the application the connections almost immediately skyrocket back to 1.5k whilst we’re making MAX 550 connections… (which I even doubt)

What could cause this issue?

I can confirm that my server and personal up were added to the network access tab.

I have also tried turning off my firewall on my pc and connecting using mongosh but got the same error there.
