--fork workarounds for Windows

Hello guys,

Are there any work arounds for the fork() command for Windows users? I don’t have access to a Unix/Linux box at present. Any suggestions?

Hi @Brandon_48087,

To run a mongod process as a daemon and write its output to a log file, we use the –fork flag and --logpath options.

So, regardless of Unix/Linux environment, if you want to run mongod or mongos process in daemon mode, you will need to enable the --fork flag.

Please let me know, if you have any questions.
