Explore flexible sync cheaply

Very curious to explore flexible sync in Realm! But is there a cheap way to do so?

• flexible sync seems to require a atlas cluster with Mongodb 5.0
• free shared atlas clusters do not seem to support 5.0
• cheap serverless clusters support 5.0, but cannot be linked to Realm.
• therefore only dedicated clusters seem to enable using flexible sync, but they start at 57$ a month.

Are there other options to explore flexible sync more cheaply?

You’re right - it’s less than ideal right now, but we’re planning to upgrade shared clusters to 5.0 later this month, at which point you’ll be able to link a free cluster to your Realm app and take flexible sync for a spin.
