Does the port specified in mongodb-27017.sock file dependent on the port number bound to mongod daemon process?

Hi Support Team,

In the file structure lesson it was mentioned that the sock file is needed for interprocess communication and is needed by mongod to function properly. So does that mean the file name changes specifically the port part of the name when we bind a different port to the mongod process in the configuration file or while specifying the parameter when issuing CLI command. Or does it always remain the mongodb-27017.sock irrespective of the port mongod is bound to.

Secondly what processes are being talked about here?

Things like that are eazy to try. Specially in this course you will have to start a few mongod so you will your own answer.
