Does Atlas Search work with Online Archive (cold) data?

Hi,

I’m curious whether the Atlas Search functionality works with data that is in cold Online Archive storage. I guess not, but I can’t find anywhere in the documentation where this is clearly stated.

Hi @rmales - Welcome to the community.

I believe you won’t be able to query online archive data sources using $search. I tried testing against a data federation instance with data in S3 and received the following in my test environment:

$search is only supported when querying Atlas data sources
