Hi everyone. It’s possible to use Compass or Mongo Shell behind a corporate Proxy ?
You can surely use MongoDB behind proxy unless and until you need to connect to the outside cluster.
Suppose you want to connect to our Atlas cluster, to check if you are able to connect, ping cluster:
If you are able to connect, then try from mongo shell using:
mongo "mongodb://cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-01-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-02-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017/video?replicaSet=Cluster0-shard-0" --authenticationDatabase admin --ssl --username m001-student --password m001-mongodb-basics
Same you can do with Compass.
And if you want to connect to your cluster, then you can whitelist your IP from cloud.mongodb.com (Security -> IP Whitelist) and then do the same steps.
If you are unable to connect to the cluster you need to contact your IT team to allow connections to this address.
