Chapter 3: Index Operations Query Plans - record IDs means

Hi ,
I’m just wondering about translation script about “<Chapter 3: Index Operations Query Plans>” as below

#######running time 00:33 ~ 00:46############################
Since we have an index on zip code and cuisine, we’re able to fetch the record IDs of the documents that meet our query predicate.
From there, those record IDs are passed up to the fetch stage.
This is where the storage engine is going to convert the record IDs into documents.

What does “record IDs” mean? I don’t fully understand about “record IDs” .

It’s an internal ID used to uniquely identify a document. You can see the recordID by running:
db.collection.find(<query>).showRecordId()
