There appear to be a few different issues related to Atlas codes being discussed in this topic. I will try to provide some guidance.
- Not being able to generate an Atlas code on mongodb.com/students/Getting the “Database empty” error message
This was a known issue back in May of this year and has since been resolved. Students who have successfully verified enrollment in the GitHub Student Developer Pack should be able to generate Atlas codes on mongodb.com/students without issue.
- Getting the 'coupon is either applied before start date or after end date’ message when trying to apply an Atlas code to an Atlas account.
This either means that your Atlas code is expired or it means that you’ve already applied the code to another Atlas account. All MongoDB Atlas codes have expiration dates (typically 6 months from creation, 12 months once applied to an Atlas account) by default and because of this, we recommend that students not generate their Atlas code until they are ready to use it.
