Product Analytics Lead

The Product Analytics Lead will play a key role in our rapidly growing Data Analytics function. Leading a critical pillar in our analytics efforts, he or she will have the opportunity to work directly with our product team and across our go-to-market functions to surface key insights and devise strategies that drive product growth. This position requires a driven self-starter who is able to work with senior leadership comfortably, takes tasks from start to finish, and someone who enjoys working in a multifaceted, fast-paced, and ambitious environment.


  • Conduct detailed analyses such as product feature use, user-behavior trends, retention/expansion, and unit economics
  • Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards for key partners
  • Conduct statistical analysis; advise, design, and analyze the results of A/B tests and other experiments
  • Uncover key user behaviors through quantitative analysis – e.g., comparing cohort behavior, running regressions and classifications
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis in support of cross-functional partners and executive management across all business functions
  • Proactively identify relevant trends and make recommendations based on analysis
  • Embed yourself with other teams in the company so you understand the relevant questions and needs of the business, and use that to advise your analysis
  • Use data to get in the mind of the user and understand how we can make life as easy and streamlined as possible for them
  • Efficiently communicate analytical findings to non-technical audiences

Skills & Experience

  • 6-10 years of analytics experience, ideally in a SaaS company, with 1-3 years people management experience
  • Strong statistical and data modeling skills
  • Ability to take the results of analyses and communicate meaningful product recommendations based on them
  • Ability to move quickly and iterate on analyses
  • Knowledge of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions)
  • Confidence using SQL for fetching and manipulating data
  • Experience with a scripting language such as R, Python, or similar
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work in a self-guided manner
  • Strong communications skills and able to optimal interact with internal business partners at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the SaaS industry highly desired but not required

Success Measures

  • Within 1 month, get up to speed on a) the analytics tools and data we use b) the basic structure of our products and product portfolio
  • Within 2 months, analyze in-product user funnel and behavior and identify top 5 areas of opportunity
  • Within 3 months, define roadmap for further analyses and experimentation with input from the Product team
