The Developer Advocacy team at MongoDB has a very exciting announcement to make! We have partnered with MLH (Major League Hacking) and will be sponsoring 100 hackathons over the course of the 2020 hackathon season. That means participants will be able to use MongoDB Atlas as part of their hack and be in the running for a cool prize for the Best Use of MongoDB Atlas at every one of the 100 hackathons we are sponsoring!

They are the official student Hackathon league and a community first, mission driven organization that inspires innovation, cultivates communities, and teaches computer science skills to more than 65,000 students around the world every year. The MLH team has created an engaged and passionate maker community, consisting of the next generation of technology leaders and entrepreneurs.

We are thrilled to be able to support this amazing organization and so many events where people are building incredible things and constantly learning new skills. The first hackathon we will be sponsoring is Hack the North, Canada's biggest hackathon, running from September 13 - 15, 2019. Will you be there?

If you are participating in an MLH hackathon this year you can get a jump start by digging into the MongoDB documentation and setting up a free cluster to build up your skills. Join the conversation on Slack, shoot us questions on Twitter, and build something awesome! With cool prizes going to those of participants who make the Best Use of MongoDB Atlas, you'll want to get your thinking caps on now!
