8:00pm - 8:30pm The Inner Workings and Using it to Learn More about MongoDB

Buck Ryan, Engineer , RJMetrics

At RJMetrics, we replicate our clients’ databases into cloudbased data warehouses. That data is then optimized for analysis and served via online dashboards that enable smarter business decisions. As MongoDB has grown in popularity, we’ve had to develop tools that allow us to store NoSQL MongoDB data in our SQLbased data warehouses. To ensure accuracy and auditability, we developed an internal tool that translates most SQL queries into MongoDB equivalents. Last year, we exposed that tool to the public at and it has since become a popular resource for SQL experts who need a jumpingoff point for understanding MongoDB query syntax. This talk will explore how we at RJMetrics use this tool and the innerworkings, limitations, and possible extensions of the service.
