Last summer we had four excellent interns, each of whom made significant contribution to the MongoDB project and 10gen internal tools. Looking ahead to the summer of 2012, we are excited to grow the program, increasing the number of overall interns, expanding the program to include our Redwood City office, and adding interns in marketing as well as engineering.
10gen interns have the opportunity to contribute to open source software and work directly with the MongoDB community. And in addition to being full-fledged members of the development team, interns at 10gen have a lot of fun. Last... Read More >
MongoSV, our annual user conference in Silicon Valley, is coming up on December 9, and we’ve been busy selecting talks for the event. Nevertheless, we have a great lineup, with submissions covering a wide variety of topics for all users of MongoDB, from novice to experienced.
For developers coming from a relational background, the schemaless nature of MongoDB can be both liberating and challenging. Application design with MongoDB is going to be a key topic at MongoSV, with sessions on Building A First MongoDB Application (... Read More >

MongoSV is the annual user conference in Silicon Valley on December 9. It is the largest event of the year, and we expect it to be the best MongoDB conference yet.
Have a MongoDB experience you want to share? Submit a talk before Wednesday, October 19. We already have dozens of great submissions, but by popular request we’ve extended the deadline another three days.
On December 8, the day prior to the conference, we will be hosting four half-day workshops on schema design and architecture, Java development, performance tuning, and hands-on operations.
10gen consulting partner Equal Experts will be sponsoring the London CodeKen 2011 conference on the 14th and 15th November. The conference is a resurrection of the Stackoverflow DevDays London conference. The event is focused on professional coders and covers an eclectic mix of subjects including coding style, HTML5 and MongoDB. See the full schedule on the conference site: http://london2011.codeken.com
In addition to the original line up of speakers, CodeKen is running a Side Projects competition. Entrants can submit the details of a side project they are working on to win a free ticket to the conference... Read More >
Today we’re pleased to release the MongoDB Monitoring Service (MMS) to the public for free. MMS is a SaaS based tool that monitors your MongoDB cluster and makes it easy for you to see what’s going on in a production deployment.
One of the most frequently asked questions we get from users getting ready to deploy MongoDB is “What should I be monitoring in production?” Our engineers have spent a lot of time working with many of the world’s largest MongoDB deployments and based on this experience, MMS represents our current “best practices” monitoring for any deployment....
